Iran Reports Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Retaliatory Strikes.
Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Bahrain, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in response for a significant and ongoing offensive against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone close to the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The full scale of any destruction is unclear and the American officials has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to American military installations - stated they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their airspace.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was targeting US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on the Islamic Republic initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas associated with the the regime, with US President Donald Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the leadership.

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses engaged the projectiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported debris landed in a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
