The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision
The visionary game developer, who helped create the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The celebrated video game developer lost his life when his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in LA on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
