Ukraine has announced the start of mass production for a new domestically developed defensive UAV to enhance its aerial protection systems. The first three manufacturers have begun manufacturing, with an additional eleven getting ready to set up production lines, Ukrainian military officials stated on Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Tested in Battlefield Conditions

The drones utilize a nationally created system known as “Octopus” engineered to neutralize Shahed drones. This technology has been tested in combat and demonstrated successful “during nighttime, under jamming and flying low,” officials confirmed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a target of producing up to 1,000 defensive drones daily.
